Baptism
At Northstar Church we know people often have questions regarding baptism. Why should I be baptized? I've already been baptized, do I have to do it again? Does it matter if you are sprinkled or dunked?
Answers to these commonly asked questions are found in the Bible. We believe it clearly teaches us that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Christ. Baptism allows a Christ-follower to communicate to the world their heart-felt commitment to Christ. It is an outward symbol of an inward commitment.
If you have questions regarding baptism please contact a staff member, attend an exploring Northstar class, or download this brochure. Any of these resources will help you better understand what Baptism is all about and why if you have given your life to Christ you should do it. If you have further questions please contact the church office.
We have baptisms three times each summer in the Gulf of Mexico at St. Andrew's State Park. It is a wonderful, moving celebration in an incredible setting provided by our Maker. We also have two winter baptisms at the Holiday Inn on Hwy 77 across from the Panama City Mall in the indoor pool facility. Check the event calendar to find out when our next baptism is scheduled and come out and celebrate with those who have made the decisions to give their lives to our Savior, Jesus Christ.
